Nocturne @ Royal Military Museum

The Royal Military Museum is once again participating as part of the Brussels Museums Nocturnes! Pay a visit to the museum on the evening of 23 May and discover all kinds of workshops, guided tours and extra muros activities.

The programme:

• GUIDED TOUR - Riddles and grandeur: the Russian Hall In ca. thirty minutes, professional guides show you around in one of the galleries of the Royal Military Museum.
• GUIDED TOUR “Standing guides” await you in the galleries to answer your questions and highlight exceptional pieces.
• BEHIND THE SCENE - Aircraft restoration workshop: Dozens of employees work behind the scenes to register, study, restore and display our rich collections. Enter places normally closed to the public and meet the restorers/curators in the aircraft restoration workshop.
• BEHIND THE SCENE - The textile collections and their restoration workshops: Dozens of employees work behind the scenes to register, study, restore and display our rich collections. Enter places normally closed to the public and meet the restorers/curators in the textile collections and their restoration workshops.
• STANDS - Fun at the museum: You would like to have your picture taken in a First World War trench, sit first class in a Sabena plane or discover our masterpieces in a fun way? Various activities are offered all along the evening throughout the museum.
• EXTRA MUROS - The Triumphal Arch and the Cinquantenaire peristyle – rooftop tour: Discover the architecture and some hidden treasures of the Cinquantenaire Park. The Royal Military Museum and the Art & History Museum are jointly organising this “Extra-Muros” among neighbours, with a visit to and from a piece of Brussels’ skyline. Discover the magnificent mosaics of the hemisphere, climb to the top of the triumphal arch and admire the palaces and gardens of the Cinquantenaire Park.
